Sand and electronics don’t often mix very well.  So, I was a little concerned when my husband started packing our bag for the beach and he grabbed the camcorder bag with our Sony HDR-FX7 camcorder, and my son’s still frame camera as well. 

What he didn’t tell me was that he bought waterproof covers for all the cameras.  Waterproof and sandproof.  So we managed to capture our day at the beach without having to worry about damage to our camera equipment.   

I definitely recommend protecting your camera if you’re going to the beach, the pool, or the waterpark or anywhere that has water or sand involved.
