I watched the Miss Universe 2008 contest the other day, and I was a bit disappointed. I don’t usually watch pageants, but somehow I got hooked once I turned it on. I thought the ladies all did really well during all of the competitions except for the last question and answer “event”. (I even thought Miss USA handled her fall during the evening gown competition, with grace and dignity.) There were a couple of the ladies who should have used the translator for their answers. They spoke English better than I speak and foreign language, but the one lady who did utilize the translator gave a much better response.
