I have the chance to adopt a dog from a friend but can anyone tell me what is the usual labrador life expectancy?  The dog I would like to adopt, his owneris leaving the area, is six years old.  Before I commit I would like to know if we will be able to enjoy many years in each others company.  The Lab is in good health and comes from a good home.  I am considering an older dog as I really don’t have time to train or look after a puppy.  I would really like to adopt this dog and give him a good home but I am a ittle worried about his age.
