There is a mis conception that Sarees are only worn at Hindu or Sikh weddings. Whilst bridal sarees are worn at these occasions, it is important to remember that there are also many christians living in India, particularly in the south of the country which was heavily influenced by the (catholic) portugese.

A christian bridal saree is no different to a traditional wedding saree, althought it would usually be white as opposed to red (the traditional color worn by Sikh brides). That said, many christians do choose a red wedding saree.

White saress are made from the same high quality silks as other bridal sarees, and, can also be embroidered with ornate designes in gold or silver.
