The  2007 Medical School Rankings  come in a few categories, namely primary care and research. The top 6 in the United States for primary care are the University of Washington, University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, University of Colorado-Denver and Health Services Center, Oregon Health and Science University, Michigan State University and College of Osteopathic Medicine, East Carolina University located in North Carolina. For research, the top 3 are Harvard University followed by Johns Hopkins University, University of Pennsylvania and the Washington University that is located in Saint Louis.
