If we do not consume the proper amounts, we can end up with many different deficiencies. Not eating right, taking certain medications, and having particular diseases and disorders can cause our bodies to have deficiencies, even when we do have the proper vitamin and mineral intake. It is important to monitor the amount of vitamins and minerals that you ingest. Just like too little of a vitamin or mineral can cause a deficiency, too much of a vitamin or mineral can cause problems as well.
