At the Emory Cardiac Imaging Center, radiologists work hand in hand with cardiologists in order to provide patients with the most accurate and complete diagnosis. The center offers the most advanced imaging available and uses Cardiac MRI machines, Cardiac PET/CT, and Dual-Source Cardiac CT machines. These tools help EMory doctors to see not only high-quality images of the heart and surroudning blood vessels, but also provide insight into the chemical structure and function of the heart and its surroudning vessels. In addition the imaging center can perform cardiac imaging tests that use sound waves to evaluate cardiac function as well as machines that measure blood flow to the heart; helping patients detect heart abnormalities early on, before they become a problem.
