Angels and Helpers

Reference No Comments »

Movies, books, songs are all used in society to explain the spiritual reality of Angels. If they really exist what is their purpose in this world.  The New Testament tells us that they are sent to the heirs of salvation to assist them.  But why would God send angels to assist us and to assist us for what purpose?   The very text explains that they are sent to those that would inherit salvation.  It must be that the angels are sent to assist us in our salvation. If salvation were merely a “one time” event then once a person was converted or saved then that would be the end of the need for the angels’ service.   But the fact of the matter is that salvation is not only an event when one enters into a belief in the Messiah, but it is also a process. It is much like a man lost at sea that is discovered by a passing ship and is thrown a life preserver. He is saved as he grasps hold of the life preserver, but unless he holds on until he is pulled in he is not fully rescued. Conversion is the grasping of the life preserver, but the being pulled in is the process of salvation.  The angels assist in the initial life preserver event, but they also aid in the process of salvation. The angels are lovers of mankind and are vitally interested in our total salvation

Have you ever heard a boring Sermon before?

There are some preachers I have heard that are absolutely amazing. They are able to get your attention, pull you into the subject at hand, and really challenge your thinking, as well as your heart. Then there are others who take a Sermon , and make it so dry and boring that you can barely even keep your eyes opened if you wanted to. You would think that with a subject as exciting as the Bible that it wouldn’t be that hard to make your talk interesting. But I guess everyone is gifted in different ways, and not everyone can speak as well as the great ones can.

Genealogy

I am totally into genealogy.  I love researching my family tree.  It has proven to be a tough project though.  I have sifted through many records, birth records, death records, marriage records, and even public divorce records.  It is amazing the things that I have found.  Back in the day divorces were probably one of the worst things you could ever do, but I have found that there were a lot of my families with secret divorces.  WOW was all I had to say.  Secrets and lies plagued my family.  I just could not believe it.  It is no wonder my family did not talk about the past.

online degrees were previously known as “distance learning”. A type of education where students work on their own at home or at the office and communicate with teachers and other students by e-mail, chat rooms, instant messages, webcams, and other forms of computer-based communication. These programs are becoming very popular among student who do not wish to attend a traditional college. Although, many of the tradional schools are also offering online classes now. I know where I went to school there was a satalite campus that offered several classes I needed. However, this certain campus was almost fifty miles from my house. I made this commute several semesters. My senior year they offered online courses, and I was able to take my class in the library of the main campus.

Investing Smart in Asia

If you want to be investing smart, you need to invest some portion of your portfolio in the markets overseas. The Asian market is well known for giving investors diversification.

However, before you invest, you need to do a lot of analysis to make sure that your investments will be safe. There is no point putting an investment in another country that has an unstable government.

You will not make money and will likely lose it all. Some countries are ok to invest in whereas others are not up and coming. Think about what economic growth that country is having and will have in the future.

Individual Retirement Accounts vs Social Security

For financial and retirement planning, the individual retirement accounts are good. An IRA is an outstanding financial vehicle for retirement planning. IRAs can be structured for almost any age or circumstance. Roth IRAs allow tax free compounding and interest on previously taxed money. What a wonderful way to save.

Traditional IRAs give a substantial tax break on contributions. Many providers offer low or no cost avenues for IRA investing either in mutual funds or money funds. If all the money you had put into social security over your lifetime were investing in IRAs, you could possibly retire now.

Even a poor return on an IRA normally yields more than social security over time. If everyone started investing in an IRA when they first started working and kept at it, there would be no retirement problems in the US today!
