How to learn guitar with an instructional DVD

Arts No Comments »

If you are wanting to learn how to play the guitar, you can either purchase lessons with someone at your local college or music store, or you may want to consider purchasing a “Learn Guitar DVD” set. With the instructional DVDs you will be able to practice at your own time and speed, and you can replay parts that you need to re-watch and re-try. The training, instructional DVDs are a great gift the child, adolescent, or adult in your family who is interested in learning how to play the guitar. The best part is that because it’s a one time payment (typically anyway), you do not have to keep paying every time you practice, like a guitar teacher would charge.

Where can I buy prints?

Arts No Comments »

I’m just getting started decorating my first place of my own, and I don’t want to just put posters up on the walls like I did in college. I can’t afford to get anything expensive, so I was wondering where I might be able to buy some nice prints of original artwork. Does anyone know of a good website with art for sale? I want to get something decent for my walls in the near future, and most of what I see in art galleries is much too expensive. I need something nice but inexpensive so I can afford to buy more than one picture.

I Need Some Help With All Of These Choices.

I really need some help in choosing which tattoo to get on my lower back area. I have been looking around at different lower back tattoo designs for weeks now and I just can’t decide. I like the snake and rose design but I also like the bleeding heart with the sword running through it. I like a few others as well and I just can’t seem to make up my mind. My friends are no help either because they all like unicorns and rainbows and that is just not my style. So I guess I will just have to flip a coin.

Need a wedding photographer

Arts No Comments »

It’s finally official. I am getting married next spring. I can’t believe this day is really going to happen. My boyfriend and I have been dating for 5 years, so I was beginning to think he would never propose. My birthday just passed and he had planned the most beautiful date for us, and then he proposed to me finally. The first thing I need to do is find a wedding photographer in Leeds who can shoot our wedding. I want to have the most spectacular pictures to remember this special day forever. I’m hoping to get the best photographer there is to capture those precious moments.

Ochopee Florida Vacation

Arts No Comments »

People love coming to Florida for their vacations. The sand, the sun, and all of the different amusement parks are hot attractions, but there are also great things to be said of the odd or the off the beaten path adventures that one can find all over the state for a unique Florida vacation. Everyone goes to Disneyworld, but not everyone learns what a skunk ape is! If you are of the curious sort, you might want to check out the Skunk Ape Research Headquarters, which is located in Ochopee. This creature, which gets its name from the nasty stench that accompanies it, is said to be the southeast’s answer to Bigfoot. At the Research Center, you can view footprint casts and photos of the alleged creature. If you would rather steer clear of the skunk ape, you could always head to the amazing Coral Castle, the construction of which began around the turn of the twentieth century. This rock garden, containing massive sculpted rock, is something of a mystery –a single man built the Coral Castle, and he supposedly used no tools or moving equipment to arrange the rocks. So how did he do it? That’s part of the fun of investigating the mystery of the Coral Castle.

Oklahoma City National Memorial-Memorial to the Lost

When the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building was destroyed by a domestic terrorist bomb on April 19, 1995, the entire nation watched in shock. More than ten years later, a memorial stands in silent tribute to those who were lost in the attack. The National Memorial to the Lost covers 3.3 acres and is open to visitors on a daily basis around the clock. Visitors enter the Memorial through The Gates of Time, a set of twin bronze gates that are stamped with the time the building was destroyed, 9:02 a.m. As visitors proceed further into the Memorial they will encounter a block of polished black granite reflecting pool where Fifth Street was located prior the bombing. The Reflecting Pool is meant to reflect the faces of individuals whose lives were changed when the nation was rocked by domestic terrorism on that bright spring day. Other parts of the Memorial include the Field of Empty Chairs, the Survivor’s Wall and the Survivor Tree. The Field of Empty Chairs is comprised of 168 empty bronze and glass chairs representing the number of people who were lost in the bombing while the survivor’s wall represents the hundreds of people who survived the attack.

Balboa Park Museums

Visit a state-of-the-art museumLast in our itinerary is the famous Reuben H. Fleet Science Center & Space Theater, which is also located in Balboa Park. It is a science museum that combines a planetarium with an interactive science exhibit. This museum also has the OMNIMAX, which is an IMAX Dome theater. The planetarium has a lot of innovative features, which includes a dome that is seventy-six foot in diameter and can be tilted 25 degrees. The audiences are placed in layers of rows that are facing the tilted dome that would give the feeling of being suspended in outer space. It also has a film projection system that allows the planetarium to show movies about space, the planets and the stars.  Aside from the planetarium, the center offers exhibits that can be manipulated or participated by visitors. These are just some of the attractions being offered by San Diego, California. It is now up to you to choose what type of adventure you’re going to have. Take time to relax because like the old saying goes “Life is not all work and labor; it too has its own share of fun!”

To Color or Not To Color

Arts No Comments »

I have been contemplating getting my first tattoo and I think that I have narrowed it down to a couple of different star tattoo designs that I have found. Besides narrowing down my final choice I am wondering if I want it to be colored in or not. I have heard it is more painful to get your tattoo colored so that is one reason not to color it. I was also thinking that maybe the color will fade and I would have to redo it from time to time. Also, what if the colors make it look dated like from the 80’s or something?

Where can I learn?

I would really love to learn how to dance Cuban salsa. I have seen people dancing salsa, and it looks so fun. I love the music, it always makes me want to get up and dance. However, it seems a bit complicated and I tend to have two left feet when it comes to dancing. Does anyone know where I could learn how to dance salsa? I would need a really good instructor I think, I don’t think videos would be good enough for me. I need a bit more personal attention since I am not good at learning dance steps.

Even I can learn

I am about as far from a computer geek as you can get. I email some and do some web searching but that was about all I knew to do with the computer. I have a digital camera and take some nice pictures and save them on my computer but never thought about editing them till my son brought over some digital editing software. Now I am learning to do lots of things. I can get the red eye out of the portraits. I can enhance colors and even merge pictures together so you can’t tell that it was made from two separate pictures.
