Okay, so I'm no doctor or medical science wizard. But here's my problem, I've just injured my wrist and thumb (how I don't know) and it's quite an annoying little injury that didn't seem to be getting better. So I went to my doctor and he told me to ice it down and find a thumb spica splint to use and that would help me from injuring the thumb again and aide it in it's recovery. So, what in the world is a thumb spica splint? Can somebody help me out here? I don't want to look silly when i go to the drug store.
