Vancouver moving companies – A bit of history

 

Here’s a bit of Vancouver history for Vancouverites. Did you know that the town already had a freight company back in 1916? In 1913, three brothers from Ireland started a transfer business with nothing more than a Ford flat deck truck with wood slats for sides and a canvas roof. Determined to succeed, the brothers had named their business “Optimistic Transfer”, but had changed it to their family name later on. Today, after close to a hundred years, Ferguson Movers is now one of the oldest Vancouver moving companies in the whole province. Not bad for three Irish brothers who came to Canada to look for a new life, and ended up leaving a legacy behind.
