My husband and I, and our families have always lived on the east coast. Recently my husband was told that his employer is downsizing their operations. So, we’re moving to northern California. We took time to visit the Sacramento area and the town we liked was Carmichael. Carmichael is located about ten miles northeast of downtown Sacramento. We liked the fact that it’s small and has a beautiful nature center and preserves along the American River.
