If you have ever worked in a company where you used a computer all day with several applications you probably experienced one of these applications fail.  The IT person would log in to the system and from another side of the building take over your computer while you are watching it.  This is an example of having remote access to a computer that is why roles management is so important to maintain properly.  Most individuals hired for a roles management position have to pass and obtain a security clearance of a certain level.  This is due to the job requiring this person to have access to several software applications.
